The Primitive Star is my small business based in the village of Roydon, a few miles south of Stansted Airport, England.

I design and handcraft Shaker Style folk art gifts, country, primitive angels, raggedies, Dolls and critters. Folk art, Americana and New England inspired seasonal decorations, home decor and much more! Every item is handcrafted, therefore each one has its own unique character.

My products are sold in various stores & craft fairs throughout the UK and USA and online via the website. Please feel free to have a look around the site and let me know if anything is of interest to you.

All of my items that you will see here are handcrafted using original American patterns or patterns of my own design. Items that are made using patterns are stated in the text as I feel the designers should be credited for their work. All items that are designed by myself are the property of ©The Primitive Star 2001-2004 and you will receive a signed and dated original piece.

As each item is handmade, items can be personalised on an individual basis, so if you see anything you like on the site, but would like a different colour etc, please e-mail me with your request.

All my fabric items are scented with the traditional American scents of Cinnaberry, Pecan Pie, Chocolate Chip Muffin and Sticky Toffee Pudding. All these aromas smell sensational but if you have a particular request then please e-mail me.
